Dr. Witold Daniłowicz JD, LL.M. is an attorney. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Wroclaw (Poland), Louisiana State University Law Center in Baton Rouge (Louisiana, USA). He also completed postgraduate studies in international law at the Institute of Social Studies in The Hague (Netherlands) as well as at The Hague Academy of International Law (Netherlands). Dr. Daniłowicz received his doctoral degree in law from the Institute of Legal Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences upon defending a thesis entitled “The Hunting Rights in Poland in a Comparative Perspective.”

Since 1985, he has practiced law in internationally recognized law firms, first in the United States and then in Poland. He is an expert in corporate mergers and acquisitions as well as international commercial and financial transactions. He also specializes in handling large investment projects. His experience includes, among others, work on investment projects in Poland, the United States, Uzbekistan, Zambia, Syria, Congo, as well as Lithuania, Romania, Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.

Dr. Daniłowicz frequently acts as an arbitrator in domestic and international arbitration proceedings. He has been identified as a leading lawyer in Poland in national and international rankings. He is the author of more than a dozen professional publications in various fields of law. He was one of the founders, long-time President, and currently serves as Chairman of the Council of the Polish Association of Legal Employers.

In his private life, Dr. Daniłowicz is an avid hunter with over thirty years of experience. He is president of a hunting association and the Vice-president of the St. Hubert Club. He is also passionate about hunting trips - he has hunted in more than a dozen countries. Some of them resulted in publications. Most of them are in Polish but those published in foreign languages can be found under > Foreign languages. Dr. Daniłowicz publishes also regularily on hunting and hunting-related topics in legal journals, hunting publications as well as in the daily press. In his articles he addresses both current issues related to the perception of hunting, its future and its place and role in society.

In 2015, for his outstanding contributions to the formation of the principles of a democratic state of law and legal culture Dr. Daniłowicz was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order Polonia Restituta by the President of the Republic of Poland.

For his contribution to the preservation and development of the hunting culture was awarded the St. Hubert Medal by the Polish Hunting Association.

Dr. Daniłowicz lives in Warsaw with his wife, Bożena. His daughter Ksenia lives in New York City and his son Ksawery studies at Oxford University.
